This is the second incarnation of this site. This time it is back with a revised format that I hope that readers will enjoy and I will enjoy posting.
The idea for the site stems for a 1959 book called the ‘Encyclopedia of Sport‘* by Charles Harvey. Each sport was written by a specialist in their field and contained details of league winners, records, biographies etc. I would spend many an evening perusing its pages and once I began to take up athletics I would tick off historical records that I personally had achieved.
The book recounted Great Sporting Greats and Moments from history and as I have discovered over the years everyone has their own great sporting hero and moment. So welcome as I share mine with you.
